Prof. Pius Okong – is a senior obstetrician-gynecologist, public health advocate, and policy leader with over 35 years of experience in maternal and newborn health. He is a founding member of Save the Mothers and board member Save the Mothers East Africa. Prof. Okong has played a central role in shaping Uganda’s reproductive health policies and has been a key advisor to the Ministry of Health. His expertise bridges clinical practice, health systems strengthening, and health governance across sub-Saharan Africa.
