Hon. Sylvia Namabidde Ssinabulya – Chairperson Save the Mothers East Africa Board, is a passionate advocate for maternal and reproductive health with over 35 years of experience spanning government, civil society, and education sectors. A former Member of Parliament in Uganda (2001–2016), she played a leading role in shaping national policy on maternal health and education, including championing the landmark 2006 parliamentary resolution that prioritized maternal health in Uganda. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health Leadership and has extensive expertise in education management, gender policy, strategic planning, and sexual and reproductive health.
Save the Mothers promotes maternal health in the developing world through education, public awareness and advocacy. Based in Uganda and North America, Save The Mothers is part of a global movement to improve the health of mothers and babies
